FOLLOW THESE GOLDEN RULES FOR YOUR MOST NATURAL-LOOKING TAN EVER — AND SEE HOW EASY IT IS TO HAVE A LUXURIOUS SALON TAN.

For best results, exfoliate skin using the PuretanPro Self-Tan Removal mitt. This ensures that old skin or previous self- tan build up is removed.

Concentrate on knees, elbows, heels and knuckles (both toes and fingers) which tend to be extra dry. If you plan on shaving, do so before applying sunless tanner, not after.

Remember, clean, smooth skin will always give you a more even and longer-lasting sunless tan.

  1. Dry yourself completely.
  2. No need to moisturise before applying due to Puretan’s moisturising formulation.
  3. Apply sunless tanner evenly. For best results and easy application blend using the Puretan self-tan Application Mitt.. Use a simple wiping motion until even. Be careful not to miss any spots.
    • If you’re applying over your whole body, start on larger surface areas like your arms and legs. Then, lightly blend any product remaining on your hand onto areas like knees, elbows, heels and knuckles that tend to be dry and absorb more colour.
    • Similarly, go lightly around the upper lip and hairline. Avoid eye area.
  4. Wash hands with soap immediately after use.
  5. Allow body formulas to dry completely before dressing (5-10 minutes or so).
  6. To maintain your colour, reapply as needed.

There isn’t much I love more than a few days R&R in a luxury 5* resort, except of course, quality time with my kids. So when I can combine the  two, it isbliss.

As anyone with kids will tell you, It is surprisingly hard to find a luxury resort that caters for children. Typically, either a resort is 5* luxury, peaceful and quiet. Or full of everyone else’s screaming kids and no fun at all for couples. (I am very happy to admit that I have very little tolerance for other peoples badly behaved children!)

Peppers Beach Club & Spa at Palm Cove is the perfect combination of luxurious accommodation, wonderful service, divinely delicious restaurants, and fun for the littlies!

Rate: A visit to the reef is without doubt a ‘must do’ experience. We helicoptered from Port Douglas (an hour away) into the  Quicksilver pontoon at Agincourt reef and spend a few heavenly hours snorkelling and fish feeding.

Nu Nu on the esplanade (luckily for us, adjacent to Peppers). The pancake stack served with Coconut ice-cream and caramelised banana for breakfast is crazy good. Dinners are serene with views of the ocean through swaying palm trees. http://www.nunu.com.au

The Resort offers a  kids ‘Pyjama Club’ during school holidays, which means cocktail hour for grown ups!

Hate: Cairns night zoo. Damp, smelly, hot and surrounded by hundreds of toads and thousands of ravenous mosquitos. All of which was enjoyed by torchlight with the constant threat of large, wild animals lurking just out of sight. Hell on earth.

Hello Hammo

All booked! The kids are SUPER excited for another trip to Hamilton Island this December. We go a couple of times a year (usually Easter and early December) and always have a gorgeous time!

I firmly believe there are 2 types of holidays, with kids, and without kids! ‘Hammo’ is my 10/10 for a ‘with kids’ holiday, heaps of fun things to do, casual restaurants and big swimming pools! Our ‘Hammo’ visits are one of the rare times that I go days on end without makeup or high heels and it is pure island BLISS!

Of course there ARE some very sophisticated and sexy spots for romantic nights. The Yacht club for afternoon cocktails, and restaurant for dinner are as decadent as any honeymooner could ask for, but for me ‘Hammo’ is about bikinis, sun, sand, and giving 100% undivided attention to my littlies while they splash and squeal unfettered!

If you have never been, check it out here- http://www.hamiltonisland.com.au
